Unfortunately, I missed the choral counting and arrived halfway through the first group. Looking at patternes - jumping on in 30's.
2nd Group
Make twenty - 5 dice - build on adding skills quickly. The other person in the pair has to agree with the total and make sure that she was counting up the quickest way. If not 'I disagree because ....'
- With Year 3/4 use four dice and add to 10. Can also use 10 frames.
Body of the lesson - in modelling book What if ...When Santana went to the skate park he saw 36 wheels? Children discuss the way they solved the problem. Children are working on how many ways that they can come up with 36 using their multiplication problems. One person will come back with their strategy. Everyone in the group has to agree so children get the change to disagree or agree before it is recorded.
